Briarwood
Briarwood was one of the earliest neighborhoods established in Santa Clara’s western outskirts. This neighborhood, which was built in 1954, encompasses 520 single-family homes. There are a few various floor plans available, ranging in size from 1000 to around 1250 square feet, and they are all 3 bed 1-2 bath homes. The houses have two-car garages and sit on lots ranging in size from 5500 to 6000 square feet. All of the houses have central heating and were built on raised foundations. The street layout of the area creates quiet, pleasant streets with little through traffic.
Best Things About Briarwood:
One of the best features of the Briarwood community is its convenient location. Jobs on the north side of Santa Clara are easily accessible, as are schools, parks, and the Lawrence Expressway. The neighboring schools include Briarwood Elementary School, Cabrillo Middle School, and Wilcox High School. The playground at Machado Park, a neighborhood park on Cabrillo Avenue not far from Nobili, has just been renovated. The neighborhood is well-established, tranquil, and enjoyable to walk around.
The Briarwood area offers a lot of conveniences. The Lawrence Cal train station is nearby, and the Lawrence Expressway is only a few blocks away. There are several popular retail areas along El Camino, including restaurants and businesses, as well as shopping at the more contemporary Monticello development, which has a supermarket and many other conveniences. Costco Wholesale is also nearby on Lawrence and Kifer Road.
