Santa Clara real estate is not know for its large lots.  There are some developments like Forest Park or Laurel Park where lots range from 8,000 to 9,000 Sqft. or the very upscale and unique San Tomas Woods neighborhood were lots are typically around 10,000 Sqft., and lastly the neighborhoods that were once unincorporated along Steven’s Creek and now part of Santa Clara can be as large as 14,000 Sqft. 

Outside of these areas you are typically going to find lots in the range of 5,000 to 6,000 Sqft. for most of the Santa Clara neighborhoods.  On occasion you my stumble upon a large corner or cul-de-sac lot that is remarkable in size.  Unfortunately sometimes the shapes of the lots can be a bit awkward, especially pie shaped lots where sharp corners that leave little use able space or a corner lot where a large portion of the lot that sits on the front or side of the property.
